I'm quite sure younger generation never heard about this super adventureous cave as it already been totally closed for public in year 2000 after a mishap incident involve a group of student from public university inside this old mine cave. From what I heard, the cave had been sealed and nobody allowed to get in nowadays.
Well, Gua Kambing, situated in Perlis, is a notoriously adventurous cave, with complete package, adventurous ( yes practically you need to use ropes & sling inside there ) plus the safety aspect is quite questionable. The water level in that cave can rise without any warning as practically we had to go down to old underground mines tunnel which was an active underground tin mines back in 1940s. But according to people around there it was officialy closed back in 1970s. So you can imagine, after almost 30 years been abandoned, the tunnel integrity is really questionable !. We went there instead and the most scary thing, at about 12.00 o'clock midnite, and went out from the other side of the tunnel almost about sun rise. So the cave adventures took us almost 6 hours. I can't image how crazy we were those days.As you can see in the photos, the water was quite deep, and absolutely dark, and I always imagine a predator waiting for us inside that water and all over the tunnels, the reinforce steel ( use for tunnel shaft ) protruded everywhere and could be very dangerous if something bad were to happened. But luckly not..... all of us still alive today, but if you asked me to do the same at Gua Kambing today, I won't ! NO !! unless somebody tell me structure engineers has certified the tunnel integrity of this cave.... tak nak mati katak ! dulu tak pernah terpikir pulak.....
